Anyone with an Alpha tried the Superchips Cortex? Would like some feedback...Ordered one last night hoping to get some fuel economy on the highway and more power on the trails.

 

I don't have the Cortex but I do use the Flashpaq from Superchips. I love it. I improved highway from 16-19 mpgs. I might have been favoring it a bit so now the wife is driving it without knowing about the change to compare. My guess is hers will show an improvement too but less.

 

I have the Cortex, I have been playing with different settings for a little while now. Currently trying out the "mileageXS" tune.
I have already used the 87 performance, 91 performance & towing. I wrote up a thread on it over @ CHO.

I'm recording mileage, performance, driveability, etc in a log so I can post my personal findings after a month or 2 of "real world" driving.

 

So far I am stoked.....here is my findings:

MPG setting - Cannot stand it, turns your Alpha into an I5

86 Performance - drove 250 miles with 4 people in the car running 35's up and down back roads. between 14 & 15 MPG! Up a minimum of 3 MPG better.....SMOKIN!

Cannot wait to try the 91 Octane setting just for giggles.....with the 86 setting there is no more constant shift into passing gear on hills.

 

does it remove the delay when pushing the accelerator?

 

Yes, makes a big difference
