Suggestions? It's not the front hubs...
Last night my truck started to develop a sound similar to when the hub bearing has gone out and is rotating. So today I lifted each wheel and shook it and rotated each one to see if any where making the noise and none were.
I don't have the OEM undercarriage rock plates on it so as I've seen in other postings it's not that.
It drives fine, you can just hear the sound when starting to drive and while driving the rotating metal sound that a wheel bearing makes when it is going out. Could it be transfer case related? Like I said it drives fine, no clunking when changing gears.

Somebody mentioned something in another post about a drive shaft carrier bearing, but I didn't thing deuces have those?
I'd also thought about brakes? Pad down to the rotor?
Maybe jack the truck and try to spin a tire to get the driveshaft turning to see if you can duplicate it that way?
Good luck, let us know what comes of this-----

you can try jacking all wheels up on jackstands. start it and place in drive and let the wheels spin . you may need a person out side the truck to help . just make sure you stop the wheel spin before you put it back in park. this is what we do to find a wheel bearing . i hope this helps
Is it a higher pitch sound than a wheel bearing? Does it go away after you've been driving 20 or minutes?
Mine is doing and my mechanic said they have seen quite a few cases where the seal on the wheel bearing is bad and causes the sound. When it gets hot from a long drive it stops making the noise. Unfortunately, the seal and bearing are all one piece, so you have to replace it all anyway.
