its not the tumblers that go bad, is the electronic security stuff in the electrical part of the ignition switch....tumblers would not let you turn key.....

starting problem on 07 H3

I have had the same problem with my 07 H3. I have had 2 mechanics tell me it had to be the fuel pump. I didn't believe them but changed the fuel pump, problem still exists. Very intermittent maybe once every two or three months. Doesn't matter if it's cold or warm and like others, after 10 or 15 minutes it fires right up. I thought from the beginning that it might have something to do with the anti-theft system. I quit using the remote on the door locks for a while and went for several months without any problems but then it happened again. I still think it is some problem with the anti theft system. Anyone found a solution?
