Squeaking Sound - 2003 H2
 

Greetings All,

There is a squeaking sound coming from the engine compartment when I first start the engine and it continues sometimes while I am driving. It use to only sound when it was wet outside, but now it sounds when I first start the engine whether dry or wet.

What could this be? I thought maybe it could be the engine belt and I sprayed some belt conditioner on it the other day. This persistent nuisance has been in existence for about five months. I have not taken it to the dealer yet.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Could be alot of different things, I'd try to let it idle with the hood up and be a little more specific on where the noise is coming from.

I did have to change my belt tensioner at around 85,000 miles. was squeeking.
