Splash guards do help, but the front tires stick out so far they still fling stuff. I have just the FRONT GM guards, I like them and they fit perfect and the install is super easy. Probably the easiest guards Iv'e ever installed! The Husky guards are good quality, and are larger than the GM guards so I guess theoretically they should help with the fling factor a little more?

That comment from RealJeep about the lawn sprinkler gave me a laugh , you should see the side of my 3, two weeks of salt covered road gerdoo flung everywhere. I'd love a lawn sprinkler right about now,so long as it wasn't throwin ice![]

So are those what I need to keep my windshield clean? It seams it's always in the nastiest spot in the mud pit when you're having to find the switch to turn the wipers on.

YES Steve#1, your truck would have been 35% cleaner with the splash guards.

LOL. My point exactly. If you are out having fun nothing is going to keep the beast clean. Everytime I leave the pavement I know I just scheduled a couple of hours with a water hose for me and my Hummer.

I can't resist. Here are two more pics of mud flaps being used for their intended purpose.

One thing I never regretted doing was having a hot water outlet installed in my garage next to the cold water outlet (which has the hose hooked up). I hooked up a "Y" connector to both and I can regulate the water temperature, thus having warm water in the winter to wash our cars.
I think the plumber charged $275 but he had a few problems getting through the concrete foundation to the hot water supply in the basement.

Don't know about the OEM protection but these are the Rocky Road Sliders, http://www.rocky-road.com/H3rockrail.html

They fit nicely with about a 1/2" of clearance behind the splashguards.

I installed the Huskeys front and rear. They block more than the OEM's.

I have the Husky guards as well. They don't eliminate the flinging but they help.
