Sorry for asking a tire question but I need a definitive answer...
Before I buy. I scored a good deal on some 35's with good tread BFG A/T and a torsion leveling kit.
I am about you buy wheels to go with them, these are the specs: 18 x 9, 6x5.5 and 6x135mm Bolt Pattern Backspace=5 Max Load =2200 Lbs Finish=Flat Black Hub Centric = NO Offset = 0mm Now from all of my reading I thought I would be OK. I went to check a price with 4WP and they said they absolutely will not fit without rubbing severely, so now I am doubting myself. Can anyone tell me if I will be OK with these or if I should reconsider? Thanks a bunch. |
You don't need to worry, the wheels you are talking about will not fit.
H3 Hummer wheels are hub centric with a 101MM bore, whatever you are posting about according to your info is not. If you would have checked here before, you would know you do not need to buy any "torsion leveling kit" as your stock keys will do the lift. |

I imagine the non hub centric is so that the proper sized hub centric adapters can be used, I will contact the company and verify the hub bore size, but I'm pretty sure they will run a large hub bore so that it can it multiple vehicles. So getting back to my question, will the wheel/tire setup fit with or without severe rubbing like the 4wp guy says? |
Raising the front by OEM keys or "leveling keys" does not change spring rate. The spring is the T Bar, the T Bar is not being changed.
When you add a proposed spacer (Hub Centric to Lug) you essentially change the back spacing so It would depend on what spacer you intend to use as well. 35s in an of themselves do not cause an issue even without leveling, except that you may rub the sway bar a bit at full turning lock. Hopefully a aftermarket wheel guru will give you the answer you want. Have you tried the wheel wed sites that have a vehicle fit calculator? Good luck and welcome to the forums. |

I think you are pretty much right, just this 4wp guy was adamant that I wouldn't even be able to drive it and it got me worried. I even did a mock up of how the new wheel/tire would fit and checked it all around today. Even without the lift on the front there was clearance, just a little close on the back of the tire up front, but still like 1/2" it looked like, maybe under compression it will be closer, but it's not like the IFS has a whole ton of travel. |
