Starting to personalize the 2010 a bit. Replaced the stainless step bars with black (Westin E-series). Added a Craigslist find Westin brushguard. Installed some aftermarket mudflaps that I had left over from another project, they actually look pretty decent.

Also put on my roof rack crossbars from the '09, haven't decided if I'm going to paint them black.

Installed a new dual note horn, forgot to take pictures while I had the grill off. Much more obnoxious than the wimpy factory horn.

 

looks good. any ideas as to changing the factory wheels or adding the roof marker lights?

 

Thanks. Not going to change the rims, but next weekend's project is to paint the "handles" on the centercaps black (like the original '06 H3). Here's how it looked on my '09 CE that I traded a year ago.



I hope to replace the tires with something more aggressive, but the Michelins are brand new so it might be a while.

I'm reluctant to put holes in the roof, so likely won't go for the marker lights, although I do like the look. Maybe after I've had it a while...

 

You could always sell your tires on craigslist or something and use that money towards some more aggressive tires.

If you have the dealer install the roof marker lights, they should warranty it against any leaks. Of course, there shouldn't be any leaks if they do it right.

 

The black cattle guard, mirrors and door handles are very nice. How about a black grille to go with it ??

Thanks. I'm thinking body colored grill. Paintable one is almost $300 on gmpartsdirect, so if I could sell my chrome one for that.....

And the driveway stays clean because all the cars are parked in the garage. Our neighbors just think we are never home.

 

Some sandpaper could probably make that chrome grill into a paintable one.

 

I up an bought a factory black grille, for an OK price back then.
I ended up selling my pristine chrome grille with all clips for the price
I bought the black grille. Worked out perfect.

A body color would look great. If you do that, please post pics
