have a 2003 hummer H2 .Have a small antifreeze leak front of motor on passenger side in the area behind the AC compresor. only leaks after truck has been drivin. started very small just a few drops (now and then) 6 months ago Now is is leaking larger amounts of coolant. the waterpump looks ok also checked all the hoses they also look OK. H2 only has 40,000 miles.

ANY IDEAS>???

freeze plug on the block maybe?? Weep hole on the water pump leaking??

 

After more investigation. I found out the the 10 Ml bolts going into the bock holding on the water pump were NOT very tight. I tightened all 6 on the bolts holding the water pump on to the block and My coolant/ antifreeze leak is gone.

I am sure if i brought my hummer to a dealer or a mechanic i would have bought a 700 dollar water pump replacement. and if this has happened on my hummer it is happening on many others.
