Default Silverstar Ultra Bulbs available ??

Anyone know if the Silverstar Ultra Bulbs are available for the H3 yet? I beleive the regular Silverstar bulbs are out as an H13 for the High/Low beam but don't know about the Ultras. Also, anyone if Silverstarbulbs are available for the fogs too and where to get them. The local Autozone does not carry the the H10 for the fogs. Thanks...

I haven't seen the Ultras for the H3. I have the regular Silverstars and they are great. My Autozone had the fog light bulbs but I haven't switched them out yet, mostly since I never use those lamps. [/align]

Thanks. I had the the regular Silverstars in the past ride and agree they are great. Huge difference. Since the days are getting shorter here, I decided that this would be a good time to switch them out. Can you confirn that the bulbs I need are H13 and H10. THe autozone guy mentioned the fogs werel isted under another number.

I use 9005'sSilverstar Ultra in place of the 9145's in the Fog/Driving lights and they work awesome. I'm running the regular silverstar H13in the headlights.

Nice and bright.....[sm=smiley32.gif]

Heysdad, how long have you had them in? I had them in a previous car and they lasted for over two years. However, some peopple are saying that they don't last very long? any thoughts based upon your install?

Hey J,

The install was easy I just reached up behind the plastic bumper skirt and took off the plug and twisted them out...

I had been searching for something to replace the drive/fog lights for about 2 weeks. I found a web site that had a really great cross reference guide for lots of lamps on the H3 and other autos. For the life of me I cant findthe sitenow....Sorry

They said that a 9005 would work in the 9145 slot and that the plug was identical. They were right, and wow what a difference....It's really bright now...I mean it lights up the road for about the first 80 feet in front of you. I was kind of worried about oncoming traffic, but no one has flashed me yet...[sm=yikesomg.gif]

I've had them in for about 3 weeks now...and drive about 1 hour every night during the week. We did a trip to Oklahoma last week and they were on for about 4 hours straight...So I would say I have about25 hours totalon them now....No problems yet.

I love them....I was going to doJDM yellow, but now I'm glad I didn't. That might look good though...I might give it a try in the next few months.

Try it you won't regret it....

Thanks for the info. Plan to do the install this weekend. Looked underneath last night to check out the fogs and it looks like I can squeeze my are up there. Headlights expect to be a snap. Agree that these should look great.

I really think so....As far as the driving/fog lights go.

The 9005's are 55w lamps and the stock 9145 are 45w.

That 10w difference in a Silver Star Ultra is a world of change.

It really lights up the road. I'll try to post some picks later tonight after work.
