What would be a fare price for a set of side steps? I bought my truck with a set and now i want to sell um.

 

Are you talking about the nerf bars that are attached to most H2's? or are you referencing the "U" steps or the "Limited Edition" steps??

Whichever you have, you could start by getting a average figure by looking in eBay and see what others have priced theirs then set your by the current condition of your steps.

 

As stated the run-of-the-mill side steps are plentiful and prob cheap...

The limited or "U" steps have sold for $125 each....then I've also see them for $200 for a set.

Took my nerf bars off and haven't looked back. Sitting under my deck.

Eventhough my wife occassionally gives me grief when climbing in!

Regular nerf bars are worth nothing, take them off and store them in a corner of your garage-that's where mine reside.

U-Steps when I was looking I would figure $100/step but have seen full sets for cheaper. I picked up a set of 4 for $272 shipped.

LE Steps are roughly the same value of U's but some also include the cutout rockers which would obviously cost more.

At the same time the prices jump all over the place. I'd say all the prices we've given you are pretty close to one another but as mentioned above I've seen single U-steps go for over $300!!!

 

maybe you guys can help me out. on one side of my truck, above the running board there is a black bar which is rusted towards the end of it and I want to replace it. Can I replace just that bar and not the running boards? if so, do you know where I can get new one?

 

Are you taking about the rock slide bar? The black bar tucked up tight to the body just below the doors?

The rock sliders are available, but not as common as nerf/step bars. Usually from wrecked Hummers....

If it's only surface rust, remove it (the slider bar...its only bolted on...), wire brush it and spray paint it matte or satin black.
