I have a 2005 H2 with 75K miles. While driving under a load, I get a severe vibration which seems to be coming from the front wheels. I thought it was a U-Joint and I have since check all U-Joints and CV joints. Nothing seems loose and all joints seem tight. Does anyone have any recommendations before I head to a shop??

Ball joint,hub bearing?

 

If I have a bad hub bearing, when I jack the wheels up would I have some slop if I grab and pull on the tire?

 

Yes you will have slop if its your hubs, it may also be your pitman and/or idler arm

 

I took the Hummer to have it safetied and got it back with a vibration when reversing or driving foward @ around 1000 rpm but goes away when speed increases.
The mechanic I took it to would seem not to like Hummers seeing all he talked about was if I had 2 jobs to pay for gas
I don't want to go ask him If by chance he forgot to put something back and the wheels fall off.
