One of your sensors may be going bad or temporarily losing communication. If it were completely dead you would get the message all the time. This likely will not solve the problem, but do the Relearn procedure as outlined in you Owners Manual. The Search option on this forum will help you get more information. Good Luck
Yep, same with me. Got new tires put on 2 months ago. They had the scanner that would communicate with the system. He still went thorugh all the steps like you would, but the scanner would confirm that each sensor was calibrated after it beeped. I was confident it was taken care of as he knew what he wasdoing. Left the place got 10 minutes down the road and on comes the message again. Waited two days to see if it would go away, no luck. So I pulled out the book and followed the steps to reset the sensors. and was done in 5 minutes and problem solved. No problems since. I don't know what I did differently than the guy at the tire place except he was using the scanner along with doing it manually. Mine has been fine ever since I did it. I hate those things and for us they are useless I am always aware of what our tire pressure is. WOuld like to throw them out the window.
Thank the U.S. government for "looking out for us" after Ford and Firestone
got into their huge pissing match finger pointing rollover quagmire - mandating TPMS. Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems: An Overview TPMS are worthless, anyone driving should religiously check their tire pressures and not rely on a flawed or an over sensitive system.
FWIW sermon: Everyone should walk around any vehicle they drive at least once a day, looking for children, toys, small hybrid cars, etc. in blind spots and at the least glance at or visually inspect the vehicle's tires to see if they look low?
