my 90 day trial lasted closer to 6 months. Alas, it did eventually end.

Whatever you do, don't pay XM what they are asking for a subscription. Every time my 1 year renewal is coming up, I call them and tell them I want to cancel rather than paying close to $150. Then they always manage to extend my current special offer which is about $77 per year. Perhaps next year they won't play and I will cancel. What do you want to bet they will be back with an offer to rejoin the XM family with a discount?

Is there some kind of automatic 90 day trial with a certified vehicle? I didn't sign anything, pay anything, or even discuss XM. After reading this thread I was curious so I tried it and I have XM in my H3.

yes. The dealer has to set it up in some system though. Add that to the list of things you talk to them about when you address your spare tire situation.

I just bought my 07 H3 a week ago. I was surprised to learn that the XM works. Didn't even know it had it. I was just trying to switch to AM. So anyway, when I signed up for my OnStar account and logged on toe the website I was shocked to see that not only did I have close to a year of XM showing but also the remainder of the 100k warranty. Didn't even know that so it was a good day!

BTW - I said I would never pay for radio but I am really liking this XM. I'll try what has been suggested about getting deals to stay on but in the end I will most likely keep it anyway.

i have had sirius for 5 years and now have 5 radio's on my account. i love it, don't think i could ever go back to regular radio with 10 minutes of commercials after every 3 songs. plus regular radio does not have howard stern!!

like bflank above i never pay their asking price. i have gotten a 50% discount on their one year plan for every one of my radios and it works out to about $77 for the first and $50 for the other 4.

i highly reccomend sirius to all.

XM quit yesterday after 2 years and 3 months..FREE...Called for my 90 day free trial. Hooked up again. She quoted me a price of 159.95 for a year..Not worth it to me..since in that 27 months..I have put 2700 miles on it...
