Rough idle upon stopping
 

I have noticed that my engine idles rough upon braking to a stop. Once stopped the RPM's drop just below 500 and a rough idle occurs before the engine RPM's raise back up. Feels like the engine may stall. Give it gas and the engine seems fine.

No warning lights or backfires as of yet but I feel this may be the start of the dreded head issue. :confused:

Taking in to dealer for TSB for the hood louvers and will ask them to check the head along with the ignition as I also have the ghost issue with the truck not starting for 10 minutes due to the security system every once in a while.

any ideas or tips???

I've only had my 07 with 34000 miles for a little over a month and I've noticed the same thing with the stopping and rpm's dropping. Is this normal or an issue?

Mine did the same thing. Wasn't long after a check engine came on. Turns out the coil packs are a little bit of a problem on these rigs. I replaced the 4th 1 and evething is fine. Hope I have been some help.

I hope thats the case. My VIN is not within the numbers listed on the TSB for the head issue. Going in to the dealer Wednesday for the hood louver recall, hope whatever it is they fix it as my warranty is about to expire.
