Roof Rack Bar Locked End Cover Question
 

OK - Incredibly stuip question... What are the locked rack ends for?

Decoration? To stash stuff in?:confused:

They say to put stuff in. What the hell they think you can fit in there I have no clue. I remember when I first bought my truck I ran out and ordered key s from the dealership only to find it was pointless.

if I had a key it would be easier to figure it out lol
the delearship raped my hummer and not knowing all the things it was missing I was more then excited to buy my 05 two yrs ago

Remove that end and rip the black rail cover on top of the cross bar then some carriers like ski or roof box can be sliding in the rail. Key is meant for that security? I think.
