Replacing the Radiator???

Who here had replaced the radiator with an aftermarket one?
I have a nice crack in the OEM one after 160k and I would like to replace it with something better
I have already completed the transcooler mod, so that isnt an issue.... so it is just 100% radiator for me

Anyone have any suggestions and a write up on how to?
Thanks

I bought this one for my 08 2003 Hummer h2 All Aluminum Radiator

It's good quality and all aluminum. Fit in perfectly. I've had it for maybe 10k miles now.

That's a good price. Did it cool any better or the same as OEM?

ryaleon,
how does it seem to me be cooling?
how did it fit?
do you already have the transcooler mod done?
how did you put the radiator in through the front of the back?
(my mechanic says to take the front of everythig off.... basically removing it from where all the other other front mount exchngers are at.... is that even possible?)

Cooling is at least equal to stock. Possibly better but definitely not worse.
Fits just as stock would.
Yes, transcooler mod done.
Goes through the back. No idea why anyone would want to go through the front. Once the radiator is drained should take you no more than 15 mins to get the old out and the new one in. Having someone there to help you raise and lower the rads would be a good idea tho. Don't wanna damage fins. But I did it myself. So it can be done. If you still have the mechanical fan you may have to remove it. It's easy to do. I dont remember how much clearance is in there.

go with all aluminum one for sure i hate these plastic tank radiators, i have the trans cool mod done as well but i bet a decent radiator would eliminate the need to do the mod

WOW that's a hell of a good price! I might pick one of those up, tranny cooler, and maybe dabble with the electric fans-do it all in one go.

It was $100 when i got it.

ryaleon , did your radiator have a oil cooler as well as the trans cooler ? I called to order one and that's the question they asked, if I had both, I can't look at mine as just had a operation .Thanks

Yes, it has both.
