Replace Fuse Block

My intermittant and low speed wipers have stopped working, now they only work on high. I have read some threads on potential causes. Took it to the dealer, they found a short to the battery in the fuse block (code b3718). The solution is to replace the fuse block. Cost $708. I haven't seen any threads or youtube videos on replacing the fuse block. How hard is this to replace and how much "should" it cost. Thanks.

I have a 2008 H3 I5, 134k miles

The fuse block is almost a snap in place replacement, should take 10 minutes. You can buy the fuse box fuse block on Ebay loaded with all the fuses for about $150.

Here is an old thread that talks about getting to the alternator from the top (ie move the fuse box out of the way). https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...ictures-23158/

Fuse Box

Thanks Doc. The link has some good pics. My H3 is 2008. The fuse box on ebay is for 2009. Is it the same part for both years? Joe

Doc, will the 2009 fuse block fit in my 2008 H3? Is it the same?
