removing grill + grill guard

Hey,
I am swapping out my horn as soon as it arrives and I have the time to install. I have read the tutorials,
my only problemis that I have a factory grill guard already installed. Will I be able to remove the factory
grille without having to also take off the grill guard? Has anyone had any experience of taking off their guard
and then reattaching it?The holdis prettysolid on the front end, I wouldn't want to remove it andhave it
not be as sturdy when I re-attach it. Thanksin advancefor the help.....

the grill guard that attches to the tow/recovery loops does not need to come off.i just poped the grill back enough to get in there and pull the old horn out and then i put in a much louder horn that people can actually here and scares the crap out of them.i am sure if u took ecerything off it would be so much easier but it can be done with out cause i did it..remember disconnect the battery.good luck

Perfect, thanks for the quick response and good news......yeah the old horn wasn't cutting it
and I want to be able to make the jerk who cuts me off jump when I blair the horn.

Like that color red with all the chrome too. How tough was it to wire the roof lights? My next
addition will probably be some kind of rack with lights on the roof.

Here is the one I bought, super-discount / cheap, but i was unsure if it would fit,
and I liked the compact design.
WOLO DUAL-TRUMPET 120dB CHROME AIR HORNS

Will let you know about the install after it arrives.

so do you need a air compressor or not?

The kit comes with a compact compressor that will mount under the compartment as well.

i did not put a air horn in so not sure u might need to pull the grill and guard off,i went with something that has the sound of a air horn but but with out the air compressor needed.not sure the brand,if i remember i will post but the guys at car boutique where able to recomend it and even gave me a in store demo and compared them and like he said very little diffrence in sound and a whole lot cheaper then a good air horn with compressor.

Hmm, the least invasive install would be preferable. Where were you able to mount this horn / hook everything up?
I think mine will be arriving today.....so if I am out of work with enough time I'll install and let everyone know how it
goes. My morning commute is gridlocked highway traffic followed by a few street lights where everyone loves to
piggy back the person in front of them when making a left hand turn infront of oncoming traffic. A nice loud horn
would cause for an amusing/shocked reaction on the way to work.
