removal of upper trim piece above rear tail lights

Hi all:

I tried searching for this but could not find it.

How do you go about removing the upper trim piece above the rear tail lights on the H3

Wanting to add some clearance lights on each side of the rear of the vehicle

I do not want to break anything

Thanks for the help

they are just cliped in, i used a flat end screw driver and slid it in and poped it up, i believe u need to remove the the tail light first and once u have that u are good to go. dont no what year u have or the set up but my rear passanger side u would undo the 2 screws and pop it back and then u have access to the black pannel u are talking about and pop that off. i did the same thing for marker lights cause its easwhen u have the whole piece in hand u can drill and pull wires thru and seal it easy and then just put back on run wires down to tail light that is allready cause u need to take off to get to black pillar

i used optronics led, i went with a 3 led light bar for the middle cause u only need to drill 2 holes for the screws and 1 for wires. most single 1's require 3 holes per light. so if u put 3 sinle led lights in the middle u would need 9 holes drilled. i used the lightbar and got 3 led lights with 3 holes drilled only. so it's up to u i usually see guys on the forums with 3 single middle light which is another reason i went with the bar cause it's not seen and it was easier. i had the pillars done but was not happy with the brightness so removed them and pluged them up while i keep looking for exactly what i want.
