Default Remote Start

Would like to put remote start on my 2007 H3. First try the alarm dealer shorted out the computer, $1200.00 mistake. I'd like to try again, anyone had a good experience?

not hard at all if you know what you are doing. I installed one on mine and a few others already. Just need to get the rightbypass for the PK-3. Autopage GMSL-2 works on teh 06's should work on the 07's as well.

I REALLY want one of these. Can you help us and let us know exactly what to buy and if there are any custom wires we need to splice into besides the power/grounds? I didn't think you could do it without screwing up the On-Star or alarm system already on there.

the autopage gmsl-2 is a transponder bypass....it will bypass the security...the new PK3 system. It will also allow for control of the door lock and unlock with a single wire hookup using the OBDII connector under the dash. I just looked at my packaging again and I didn't use the gmsl2 on my truck. I used the IDATALINK transponder for mine. Same difference, it makes install alot cleaner and quicker.

there are alot more wires you need to tap into other than the power and ground, you will need to splice into the ignition wires under the steering coloumn. Will need to splice into the brake switch wire, install a hood pin...or just cut that wire. You will need a constant and acc. power and a few others.

I agree. Not just the electrical, but anything. If I can do it, no one else is touching it.Name: duel-1.gif

Mine was dealer installed , it works PERFECTLY and is integrated into the original key set......also it will not make the horrible 'grinding' noise like other remote starts make if a person forgets it is running and starts it again.
