Greetings folks.. 06 H2 owner here.. the mechanism which opens the rear liftgate has broken on the inside of the door some kind of way.. I have searched the forum and cant find anyone who has had this issue. Any idea of how much the dealership will charge to fix this?

 

If you are the SLIGHTEST bit handy, you can do it yourself. Hell, I SUCK at this kinda stuff and even I DID IT!!!

Actually, the clips at the top corner of the "POCKET" broke off so I had to replace the whole deal!!

 

This has happened to me as well! I drilled four holes evenly through the plastic into the metal on the actual door removing the license plate! I tapped the four holes to 1/4x20 and painted them to match black! Reinforced it and have had no problems since! But every one knows dealer parts are expensive so i decided to go my own route!
