Hi - 2003 H2 had the rear hatch slammed on a strap and is stuck partially open and will Not open.. Latch caught (right rear) on the strap has a gap of about 3/4". Will not budge Inward due to strap and will not allow handle to release due to not being fully engaged. Can Not remove interior panel while closed without damage as from what I see. Any suggestions?

 

About the only thing you can do is have someone inside shoulder check it while someone on the outside pulls/holds the handle.

 

Fixed - Pushing in and trying latch over and over got it to release.
