Is a rancho lift my only choice?
Hey guys,
Looking at doing a lift. I see cheap ways to go on lifting the T, I see the rancho expense. I hoping for some input. Thanks in advance. Jeff Missouri 2010 T |
Hello and Welcome fellow "T" owner.
The Rancho is a "true" 4" lift kit which will lower the front diff with precision brackets as well as new lowered spindles to achieve the same suspension geometry as it came from the factory. There is also the Tuff Country lift that does some what the same thing. The Torsion key lifts are nothing more than a way to get your $. The same thing can be done for free by adjusting the torsion keys you have now. Search for torsion bar lift or tbat lift. Tons of posts on that. You can alsp put a 1" body lift on your "T" for about $200 and some labor. It all depends on why you want the lift as to which one you go with. |
i was also looking at the rancho lift, does anyone know if you can use the stock shocks? from what i keep seeing the shocks i have on my T dont have the normal O shaped lower end its shaped like an upside down U wich i cant find aftermarket shocks like that.
