Rage Roof Racks?
 

I am on a budget for the next year, but ned a roof rack for several trips in the coming months. Gobi makes the premier rack for our application but I cant fork out $1500 right now.

for $150, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Rage Roof Rack Systems rack? thy retail fr $200 or so, but one is one ebay for less than $150. at 62" x 45", 5" tall with a wind deflector, it is a pretty big rack (no pun intended). it almost seems to good to be true, but then again, the Gobi unit is massively overpriced for the rather simple engineering that went into developing it.

anyone? bueller? bueller?

Looks a little flimsy to me.
I have a Rola. It's lightweight but very strong.

I have seen, touched, but never played w/ Bungers rack... Lots of puns, all intended ;)
His rack does the job, it may be only a handful when you could be getting some double d's in the Gobi... More puns... Ok ok, yes the Rola rack is good for the money...

Try a rack with extension from curt manufacturing. Made in america in my home town. :-)

Looks pretty flimsy to me also. That light duty "mesh" used for the floor cracks me up. Put some weight on it and it is going to bend like a contorsionist. Plus the rack only mounts to the light duty "mesh" using U-bolts!!!

Make yourself happy and spend a little more for a sturdy rack that will mount to the roof tracks or to the roof rails with better hardware and mounting points on the rack itself. You won't be kicking yourself after you try to actually put something on that rack and tie it down.

Rola is a decent rack for the money and sturdy, Sits up a bit high though. Once you have a Gobi you will realize it is worth the money, ask anybody who has one if they feel they overspent on it after getting it.
They also pop up on craigslist at times, I got mine ludicrously cheap.

I have the rage stingray works great looks similar to the rola but cost less. Here is one on ebay. look around i believe i paid a little less. i will try and post some pictures..
