I recently had an iPod kit installed in my hummer only to be frustrated at the inability to 1. use other mp3 players and 2. to not have interface access on the ipod when plugged in.

I decided to install an aux. jack through the box that came with the ipod kit but don't know how to access it.

I believe it is behind the radio but if this is the case, how safe is it to remove?

Not trying to pick on you, especially since you are new, but you'll find a HUGE amount of threads in the audio/video section of the forums talking about Ipod interfaces, radio removal, etc.
