I got my first small chip at 5000 miles. Arghhh. I also see signs of pitting. But then, this is the same as I experienced with my H2 for 5 years.

 

I've had my 06 for two years now and no chips, pits..nothing...still looks like new. Now the wipers are another story[:@]I've bought at least 15 pair of wipers and I cannot find anything that doesn't screech like hell when they are on.

 

Speaking of wipers, I just got a set of the Michelin Symphony 17" blades. A liitle pricey but so far they are great! They swipe more even than the stocks did and there frame and blade are integrated so I don't get any of the ice/snow cloged up in there which makes the blade uneven.

 

my windshield has two big rock chips and the whole thing looks like it was sandblasted !
