Question about MPG and Rim Size
Hey guys Good afternoon,
My inquiry is the following; I live in Central America (Nicaragua) I have a 2006 Hummer H3 with the following rims and tire size (325/60/R20), I am currently doing between 10-13 MPG. Here finding OEM rims are nearly impossible. So i want to keep my 20in rims and maybe get smaller tire size. How would a 305/60/R20 Look? Would it improve my MPG and if so, by how much?
Thank you in advance,
BumChuck

Nicaragua is in Central America... DUH!
There is about a 1" difference in overall height between the 2 tires above depending on the manufacturer. I wouldn't say you would see a whole lot of MPG improvement. The "rimz" are probably what is killing your MPG.
Do you have any idea how much your rim and tire combo weighs vs the OEM?
