Putco Ion-Chrome Roof Lights
 

Hello Everyone,

I am changing my original top markers to Putco Ion-Chrome lights. I started with the corner lights. I unscrewed the front corner yellow light, lifted it up and removed the bulb, plugged in the new putco light harness where the bulb used to be. Here is the problem when I went to hook one side of the new light in and attempt to screw the other side in the housing from the socket sits to high for the light to sit flush thus I can not screw it in. I called Putco there tech guy told me I have to remove the housing that the socket sits in. I can not figure out how to do that. Does anyone have experience doing this? I would appreciate any help.

Here are a couple of pictures showing you what I am talking about. If you see the black bulb socket is to thick to let the new light sit flush.
