putco element rain guards
 

Has anyone tried the Putco element rainguards? I have read very mixed reviews on them for other vehicles and was just wondering if anyone has installed them on their H3. I'd like to get a pair but can't decide, I like the in-channel idea, but wonder if it will work as well as the ones that apply outside of the vehicle(ventvisor, weathertech, etc.).

i hate putco. i have had nothing but problems from them. ex: i had putco chrome mirror covers and after like 8 months or so there where brown spots on them. i actually posted some pics of it maybe if u search u can find it so i ened up just buying the actuall chrome mirrors. i also had the door handle covers and same thing brown spots and cracking so i also just replaced all 5 door handles with the real deal. as for the rain guards i have the ones by weatertech they cost arround $90 with s/h at the time for the front and rear and i went with the dark tint and i love them. i have had them awhile now and no fadeing or cracks,they look just like the day i bought them. i liked them because they where in chanel and no tape was needed plus i dont like the look of the ones out side the chanel.its up to you buy i give them 2 thumbs up and worth every penny in my book and makes your reide look nice.
