Power Steering prob...
 

Hi all... I have an 04' H2 that is making sounds that are familiar (sounds like) the steering fluid is low... It is hard to turn towards the end of a turning situation, and makes that sound. I have not checked as of yet, but am going to look to see if I am low on fluid.

My question first is , I was told H2's have the steering and brake fluids combined?? Is this true? Any answers (knowledge) would be appreciated.

i dont know if they are combined,i dont know why they would be,seems how they require different fluids,but it sounds like you are low,just hope it didnt mess up your pump,not the funnest nor the cheapest to fix

Don,t quote me here,but I think the H2 has a hydroboost system which uses power steering pressure to assist in the vehicle braking. Sort of like a heavy duty brake upgrade, You would have to do some searching to see how this system actually works. On my H2 steering is always more responsive if you are giving it some gas. This is a heavy truck with big tires.
