Yea ok, I chopped a hole in the floor.. Cost 300 bucks this way, 900 at a shop to drop the tank and a new pump..

The finished "door" rubber coated with a silicon gasket around it. That's what the locking ring looked like at the end, PITA knocked more than enough rust into the tank, spent 10min. with a super strong magnet on a line ”fishing" all the rust pieces from the bottom of the tank...
Well at least the new pump and ring won't rust at all...

Did you use to be a jeep guy and own a YJ? Haha!

That is where I've seen that repair before. Easy fix next time.

LOL! Nope not a jeep guy just a cheep guy :D
I do still have the pump if any one needs a new pump motor or sending unit. They both worked just fine, just the top of the unit rusted out causing it to leak.
Pay for postage and I'll pop it apart and send you what you need.
