Default Please help. Is Rancho lift ok for manual.

The rancho kit specifies that it is for the automatic transmission only. Will it work on a manual? I have a 2007 H3 3.7 5-speed and want the Rancho kit lift with 35 inch tires. I called Rancho --- the guy was real nice but did not seem to really know if it was ok on the manual. He called me back to let me know that they do not make one for the manual transmission model and suggested that I do not use it. He did not know why, so I am wondering if it is just a matter of them having developed it with the automatic in mind and not really doing any validation on a manual. Does anyone know why I should not put it on the manual or is it really ok.

Thanks for the help.

you can put 35's on it now by just cranking the torsian bars, the crazy part is even if you get the rancho lift you can only still put 35's on it, this is what I gather from reading threads on HF about this, there is an obvious reason why rancho said "only for automatic transmissions" whether it's for durability or sustainability they would know best becasue the kit is supposed to lift the vehicle up while keeping the factory specs for shifting, cv shaft angle, and etc. purposes, but hey no one ever said that it couldn't be done, I believe that it depends on how long it should last... just my opinion
good luck

I see no reason for them to state this. You may want to call back and actually ask someone who knows about the lift. Especially if the person on the other end of the phone said "no, but I don't know why". Sounds like you got the brush off for some reason???

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm reconsidering just cranking the torsion bars instead. It seems there is some negative feedback on the Rancho lifts. I still need to do some homework before making a final decision.
