Please help

I have a 2007 H3 hummer. Something is dragging my battery down. New battery, new alternator. My radio either has a CD stuck and is constantly trying to eject it. The red light on the top right of the radio stays on. Wondering what to do:)

Welcome to HF.

This was MOVED from the New Member section where it indicates that section is NOT for tech questions.

Disconnect the radio and see if the battery holds a charge for a few days to confirm that is the source of the draw. If that works, either get the radio fixed (unlikely) or get a new one. If the battery still dies, then the search begins for that parasitic draw. Might want to look under the chassis with the back door open and see if your wiring harness to the trailer plug and/or license plate are rubbing and have stripped the insulation causing a ground fault = not uncommon.

While you are at it, use the search function here to see if others have addressed your issue, and check out why you should hack off your crappy azzed OEM battery terminal connectors and replace them with a quality aftermarket set, like Stingers or your favorite brand.

yes a stuck cd can kill batt. i was rear ended and the jolt stuck a cd. i do electronics and was able to unassemble and fix with great care and effort.
unplug the radio or pull fuses to confirm.
it will be hard to find anyone who can fix it.
time for new?
