Picture Of Fuel Cap Bezel Cover Removed?
I've done this, albeit in the fall, but i dont think you'll break the fender. Do make sure to get those 4 screws aligned 100%. I used some 3M auto tape to give the defenderworks fuel door cover a little more to hold onto.
Operation fuel door transfer and install successful! A few tips:
* Be careful at 28F out....the retaining clips on the bezel break unbeleivably easy. Luckly you dont need all of them to retain the bezel on the fender. I think I broke 2 or 3 of them coming out. Still fits tight.
* The door goes on easier when the metal clips are installed on the posts, then inserted into the bezel/fender holes. Putting the clips in first, the door posts would not go in easily. Mine is still not perfectly inserted but once it warms up here (3-4 months!) will try to align.
So glad to get this done!!
Thanks for the great help on this forum! The photos were key!
