Passenger side vents blowing cold with heater on
Today I noticed when I had the heat on, the passenger side was blowing cold air (both temps were set to 90). Reading the other thread about the actuators, it sounds like I need to remove the passenger side of the dash and replace the passenger climate control actuator, part 604-106. Before I order the part and tear things apart, does this sound like my issue?

I had the same issue. I changed the cabin temperature sensor. It's in the headliner to the left of the drivers seat. I think the part was about $25.

I own a 2003 H2. I did not have to remove the sun visor. I removed the front and middle column and the door seal which gave me enough room to get my hand in and unclip. the sensors clips onto the unit (no screws). you just need a small screw driver to pry loose. it took more time to remove the handles the and column to replace the sensors. it took all of 20 minutes for me because I had to figure out how to remove everything.
I am glad your fix worked. |
On another note...I just misread your post. My air was blowing cold in all vents until I turn my temps to 90 then I got heat. The cabin temp was not reading correctly. I did the system reset first to check the actuator doors.
