Painted Magnaflow Exhaust
 

Anyone out there have luck painting their Magnaflow Exhaust with Black High Heat Paint to black it out? What was your process for getting it to work...

I've painted many exhaust systems on motorcycles, and never had any issues. I usually used 400 grit sand paper, then I used a grease remover, then I painted it with barbecue/stove paint. Up until recently there was only flat black, but I found glossy black at Lowes

The Magnaflow is Stainless Steel so that may be a problem getting the paint to stick and stay stuck...

that's true, I guess you would really have to scuff it up with sand paper for the paint to bite into it. I've never painted stainelss steel, only pitted chrome. good luck let us know how it turns out
