Default Oxygen Sensor code

I got a check engine light last week and Onstar says its related to an Oxygen Sensor problem. I did some searching here and found out it could be fuel injectors needed cleaning. I bought a bottle of gumout and put in durnig a recent refuel. After driving down the road a few miles the light went out. Now it has conme back on this morning and Onstar reports same code. Could it be a loose wire on the sensor or could it need a replacement. I Have a 2006 H3 with 80,000 miles. If it is the sensor are they hard to replace, and where are they located.

The oxygen sensors are not difficult to replace. If you live near a AutoZone or Advanced Auto they will hook the computer up to it and tell which sensor it is exactly. There may be other parts store that may offer the same service for free as well.

A check engine light and a code are two different things. When asking these questions, can't really help you unless you post the code itself.

Two sensors, both in the exhaust manifold. The code would tell you which one is not operation correctly. When O2 sensors get old and dirty sometimes they do not work fast enough, hence the light can come on and go off based upon a intermittent problem over several ignition cycles.

Don't waste your $$ on fuel additives, just always use top tier gasoline.
