You might want to watch your air intake. If it sucks up water it will go kaboem

I think it's great to see you using and abusing it. Not a fan of something built for rugged offroading that people turn into a street queen - you get two thumbs up in my book.

That's about the extent of it IMHO. He gets a big yawn from me. :p :D

Welcome and enjoy the forums!

diggin' the first pic, i'd frame that baby up! the air intake is on the passenger side by the antenna under the plastic cover at the base of the A-pillar, don't suck up any water.

The air inlet is in the inner fender, behind the turn signal, and plenty of dimwits have hydro-locked H3s. Here is a pic of one using our Air Doc H367 Intake (w/ air filter box Inlet Snorkel) with the plastic inner fender liner removed. The wire connector goes to the turn signal and there ain't nothin about that fender liner that is water tight.

X2 on Docs first AND second post!

-Blasting through mud/water/etc, sure it's fun @ the time but it will only cause you issues down the road.

-Not sure where heyttsguy got his misinformation from? The postion of the inlet can be seen clearly from inside the engine compartment.

sorry i did mean the actual inlet is in the fender and the the other portion i was talking about is vented to draw fresh air into the fender. at least i thought it did lol, maybe i'm thinking of the h2.

What do I think? I think you have no idea how close you came to trashing your engine on Day 2 in your new rig. Consider joining a 4x4 club so you don't learn wheeling the hard way.

Got'cha. The "fake" air induction vents are actually used to "vent" the vehicles hot engine compartment air. When your rig is hot you can feel the hot air. They are not super effective but they do work when the vehicle is moving (highway).

I believe the H2s use a similar air intake system to the H3/H3Ts.
