Our bobcat and deer
Just wanted to introduce a couple of our furry family members. Benji is our bobcat and is a year and a half old, and Athena is our muntjac deer. She is 5 days older than Benji. Benji is the second bobcat that I have owned. He sleeps in bed with us and is surprisingly very cuddly for a bobcat. He's about 40 pounds right now and still has a little bit of growing to do. Athena is about 25 pounds and is full grown. She would be prey for him naturally in the wild, but since they were raised together since birth they are best pals. They stick together all day long. Here's some pics and videos of them. Enjoy.

Hear the bobcat growl

Snack time. The only animal that we have that can be with him while he is eating is Athena.

Thanks ATV. I don't know if I would say bobcats can be completely domesticated. But for a bobcat he is pretty amazing. He has his bobcat moments though. It takes a lot of work when they are young and throughout their lives, but they have a really high intelligence and can learn alot like dogs can and they pick up things really fast. Thanks again.
hi egroegart,
post this to other forums with Forumsurfer. People have to know about this. This is so amazing.

Thanks, but we are all over the internet. Youtube, and America's Funniest Home Videos too. Never heard of that site. Don't need any viruses.
Here's the video we had on America's Funniest Home Videos last March when they were just 6 months old.

Thanks 3hummers, It is quite an expense to own these guys. They range in price now from $1500 to $2,500. They have to eat a raw diet too and that can be very expensive. Luckily we get all of his food for free from a local poultry farm. They have like 100,000 chickens at a time and so many of them die every day, so they save some for us and put them in a huge walk in cooler and we pick them up like once a month. With my first bobcat we bought Chicken quarters from the grocery store. That was expensive. and since he wasn't eating a whole animal, we had to buy chicken livers, and organs, and also vitamin supplements to ad to his food. When they eat whole prey you don't have to add any vitamins or supplements since everything they need is in their prey food. So we really lucked out now with this poultry farm.
I got a great deal on the enclosure. I got the 4 x 8 panels for 10 bucks each at a 2nd hand building supply store. I got enough to make the enclosure double the size it is now. we just don't have the room in this yard for all of it.
Thank you bigunit. That is really cool to see a wild one. I've only seen one in the wild before.
I have 149 videos on youtube. There's plenty to see. Here's a link to my page on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?o=U
