Default Onstar with Bluetooth

I own a 2006 hummer h3 and I want to add Bluetooth ... I've heard that the 2007 onstar unit has bluetooth on it and will work on my 2006 ... but I need to know if ALL 2007 onstar modules on the hummer H3s have bluetooth ... can someone tell me????? I found a couple of the 2007 onstar modules off of a 2007 hummer h3 at a junk yard but I'm not sure if they have bluetooth on them.

Someone please help

Factory Bluetooth was only on the 2009 and 2010 models.

You will need a 2009 or 2010 OnStar module to add Bluetooth to your truck.

I can confirm that 2007 H3's DO NOT have bluetooth.

Pioneer SPH-DA120 this will add Bluetooth and so much more. Probably be cheaper than trying to add a factory option after the fact also.

The Bluetooth enabled OnStar module that I installed in my wifes 06 H3 was ~$100. Pretty easy install too, just plug and play. Finding them in the junk yard was the most difficult part.

I have heard that the bluetooth in the Onstar has difficultly with newer Droids and iPhones. Have you noticed this?

Yep... and while I can't comment on the '10 model, I can tell you definitively that the Bluetooth on the '09 sucks. It refuses to stay paired with my phone, and after numerous, redundant pairings I have given up and decided to look for a new Audio System "Head" that includes Bluetooth and more importantly, bluetooth media streaming. There are multiple options for retaining the use of Onstar and vehicle chimes as well.

I have experienced exactly what ProphetPVD said. It gets old quick. I have a new Bluetooth headset coming tomorrow. An additional consideration is that people outside of your truck can hear your conversation when you use the factory Bluetooth.

No problems with 2009 bluetooth. My 2009 H3T had the issue of losing pairing everytime I turned the car off. The stealership reprogrammed the unit and it fixed the problem. I have had it paired with a Iphone 4, 4s, 6 plus, and an android Hero with no issues.
