oil pressure sender switch
I have an 03 H2 and the oil pressure gauge is basically working upside down. The needle is pointing straight down but still moves when I start the truck. I am trying to locate the pressure.sender.I don't have a manual but I believe it to be at the back left side of the motor. If it is in the back how can I reach it? Has anyone replaced this? I want to disconnect the switch and see if the gauge returns to zero at key on. It's been along time since posting here and need your help. Thanks Guys
I would think its the actual gauge. I believe the sender just sends a ground signal to the gauge. I have a Yukon which redlines most of the time unless oil drops below 30 psi. Especially if its upside down sounds like the dial slipped. I would check the engine oil level cold and then check after you start the engine to make sure the oil is pumping. Im sure it is. I had a cluster repaired for a bit over 100 bucks online. Let me know and ill get you the info.
How will the dipstick read with the truck running?Should the reading be high or low on the dipstick.I've been using the truck like this for the past few days. No oil message or negative driving effects. All seems fine except for the gauge. Thanks
