Default oil change

I am new to this forum stuff...I haven't seen this posted yet. But I was wondering if anyone changed their own oil? Its so darn expensive. Anyway I have a 2007 H2 and I need to get one of those tools to even start the process!!

Any ideas??

This might be a stupid question but... why are you doing it yourself? According to OnStar my H3 is due for it's first oil change so I will be taking it later this week to Mr. Lube or to a dealership.

But really, if it's so expensive why not just get it done somewhere?

Smile oil change

Not a problem. Had it for 1-1/2yrs. I normally do take it to get it done. but on the road driving for a living. places are closed when I get off. So, I was thinking of taking a shot & giving it a try. It was just a thought for something that at one time minor car repairs was done in the backyard.

I am actually getting this info translated on my breaks via phone. Uhm, yeah by his translation queen w/o pay - .

I've always changed my own oil. I want to be sure it's done right. I don't trust those monkeys at Jiffy Lube, Mr Lube or even the dealership.
