It's not the HOOD.....it's the HOOD LOUVER! Big difference!!:D

I had it done, no big deal, they used some adhesive to secure it, it probably took 15 min's.

I know it's the hood louver, but if you read the papers I got from them, it indicates that the hood could fly off and hit another car!!!!!

My daddy always told me think before you SPEAK! Big difference!!:D

You should take your daddy's advise and re-read the letter you posted. It refers to the defective part as the HOOD LOUVER, 5 times! I'm sure GM was VERY careful about the wording, as to not create a panic.

I'm going to do my own...with a couple pieces of GM double side tape..Why waste time at a dealership for such a minor fix..

mountainbiker 05-17-2010 05:38 AM

Has anyone done it themselves, or watched what the dealership is actually doing?

H3FT 05-17-2010 11:30 AM

My dealership didn't have the proper adhesive and said they had to get it from Europe because it wasn't a GM part. Said it could take a couple weeks to get it. I'm not worried about anyway.
