is this normal behavior for the blinker?

I copied this post from new members forum.

Good day all,

Im happy to say that as of July 2016, im an owner of a 2004 H2.

Something tells me I'm going to enjoy this forum, so without further ado, I have a question.

Are my side marker blinkers supposed to blink, while my headlights are off? Because mine don't, but if my park lights, and headlights are on, they do blink.

I ran into a fellow H2 owner in a parking lot, I asked him if could turn his rig on and activate his blinkers. His side marker blinkers worked both way (with and without headlights on). I forgot to ask him what year his H2 is.

Anyone?

surely someone who owns a 2004 H2 can answer this.

During the daytime with headlights off, do the led side marker lights blink when the turn signal is activated?

Much appreciated.

Interesting, I'm gonna have to look into it a little more.

I had a brake light go out, so I thought while I'm at it I'll change all the rear lights. After installing them all, is when I noticed the side marker not blinking w/headlights off.

Any suggestion, possibly the flasher relay?

I made a quick video to show what Im talking about.
