Default No Owner's Manual-how to use "express" open/close sunroof?

I just drove an'06 H3 and I was trying out the sunroof and I couldn't ever get it to open all the way on its own. Do quickly tap the button to express open/close? Just please clarify how to operate the "express" open/close feature. Also, when holding the button to close from the open position, does it stop on its own when closed or does it continue to the vent position? Sorry for the elementary question. Thanks.

If I recall, you hold the button for about 1 second and it will open/close all the way. Tap it or hold it too long and it only moves an amount proportional to how long you hold it.

If you hit the button it will express open. There is no express close feature
because of safety reasons. The roof will stop when closed, you have to release the
switch and then press it again to open the roof to the vent position.

That's what I thought, but when I tried to close the sunroof on the '06 Lux, I held the button and it went all the way to the vent position and then stopped. And when I attempted to close it from there, it opened up again, therefore I had to kindly guess at the closed position because it never stopped on its on. Make sense? Am I simply doing something wrong or is there a minor issue somewhere? Thanks

My 07 both express opens and closes when I hold the button for a second. Strange.

I have an 06 and it has express open and close. When you were trying to open it, did you press the button towards the windshield? If so that is to vent only.(unless you hold it too long, itwill close that and express open....well it does on mineanyhow) To do the express open you need to press the back of the button and hold it for a sec or two. If that one you tried didn't work, there may have been an issue with it.
