Default New Windshield Replacement

Does anyone know how much the dealer will charge me to replace my windshield on an H3? I do not have glass coverage.
I am returning my car tomorrow from my lease.

thanks,

karl

As far as I know, even the dealers use an aftermarket glass company.

So you might want to call around yourself to the local glass shops.

I did and I got a price of $350 which is not bad. But I want to know how much more they will charge me. I am returning my car tomorrow and dont really have time to get it fixed. I am debating whether or not I should just let them bill me.

No idea what the dealer charges but of course bet its more. Won't the glass companies come out to you and do it in your driveway or at work? Takes no extra time and save the dealer upcharge.

To replace the glass in an H2 it is about $1000.00 at the dealer. The glass was almost $800.00 and the labor was the rest. I don't know what an H3 windshield costs. Do you have to replace it or just get a chip fixed? Most leases have a size of chip that they will accept ( from what I am told ) Are you sure you have to do anything?

My local body shop is doing mine for like 220$ and thats the price the ins. company allows so I would say try to find a cheaper place

The dealer will always charge more, so you would be better off to just pay for it yourself.

If you have insurance, why are you paying anything? Most state law requires that windshield replacement does not have a deductable.
