New Rims

1 Attachment(s)
I just purchased some new rims today. I decided to go with 20s. I got 20's because of the deal I got on them. I know some people don't like the big wheel but want more rubber. Now I just need to decide which tires to get, thinking some 285/50/20 either a Nitto Terra Grappler or Falken WildPeak A/T.

Gonna bite my tongue on the 20's but that tire will be only 31" diameter.
That's smaller than whats on there now and look ridiculously small on an H3.

I would look for a tire that's at least 33" diameter so more like a 285/60/20

Get either 33/12.50/20 or 35/12.50/20 , both will work on a stock H3, I would personally want the General Grabber red letters, but they are on national back order right now, I've had toyo open country m/t's in the 33/12.50/20 and was very happy with them, noisier than a regular radial but at 10 ply they can handle anything you throw at them, and they wear great, I currently am running 33" BF Goodrich M/T's on the stock 16's, and IMO they are not as good of a tire and ALOT noisier. I'm waiting for the red letters to become available and I'm gonna try em out, still not sure which wheels I'm gonna get, but they will be 20's for sure. Good luck.

Try the Nitto Trail Grapplers

35

Go with a 35 diameter! Looks like the rockstar with a separation between each spoke. I did 35/12.50/18 rockstars and leveled the truck looks great.

I just don't know, it's a tough choice between the Japanese tire and the S. Korean tire?

I found these for $270 a tire. Not bad deal if you ask me.

Just get a set of Goodyear DuraTracs or Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's. That way poor old Doc's head won't explode! lol
