New, picking up my 08 H3 Friday
 

I am picking up a 08 H3 Alpha on Friday, and can' hardly wait. My Garage is going to look funny with 2 Mini Coopers and a H3!

I am wondering how to tell which packages are installed, i.e. if it has skid plates is that the adventure package? I also do all the work on my own cars, any good Mods to do at home? Where are some good places to get parts and performance parts?

Can't wait to get behind the wheel and on the trail!

Is it a GM dealer? Ask them for the build sheet. They gave me the build sheet with mine that little every single little feature and item down to the tiny little square GM badges on the side. It ended up being like 6 pages long and was a great resource.

This was great as I was able to tell what came with the truck and what was added or done since it was made.

If you're not buying it from a GM dealer they might be able to get the build sheet, if not go to a GM dealer and they can probably pull it for you if you're nice.

Thanks, I am getting it from CARMAX... not my first choice but I couldn't find a better deal on an Alpha. I will swing by the Chevy dealer to ask about the hood recall and ask for a buildsheet at that time.

Two mini coopers and a Hummer is a hilarious combination. You gotta post some pics of that! lol

OK, I have a couple of Newb questions. I did a couple of searches but can't find the answers.

What is the cylindrical gauge on the side of the air filter?
Oil life count down... how do I find that? My dash has the odo but it cycles between the trip and odo but not oil life. Is it an option or standard.
