New Pewter H2 Adventure Package Owner in Maine

Hey guys,

I'm flying out on Thursday to pick up my 2003 Pewter H2 from North Carolina and driving back home to Maine. To say I can't wait is an understatement. I've been drooling over this car since it was released in 2003, and somehow the magical balance between my savings and asking price lined up perfectly and I couldn't pass it up.

Looks like it was babied by the previous single owner that it had (supposedly an ICU doctor with too many toys). Gobi rack, ladder, pioneer nav, adventure package, always garage kept, and every service record since it rolled off the showroom floor, serviced by the dealer only for every little thing.

I'm thinking in Maine, I won't draw the Hummer Haters as much... we rarely see a Prius up here in snow country . ;)

Anyway, I am ecstatic to make the 18-20 hour drive from NC to Maine as it's first maiden voyage road test for me. Here are pics of my new baby.

Nice! It does look well cared for.

Thanks. Up here in the North East, rust is a big concern with rigs of that age, so I bought from NC to avoid any issues there.

The cool thing is, I'm coming from a big '94 GMC Suburban, so with the H2, gas milage will actually get BETTER (getting 10.2mpg on the 'burb) and it will be EASIER to park (11 inches shorter)! Two things that I think usually go the opposite way for new Hummer owners, lol. It's just going to seem like it uses more gas because the tank is smaller... the Suburban tank is 42 gallons, so even though the H2 will get slightly better milage, I'll be stopping to fill up more often.

Thanks Doc Olds.

I didn't even realize what a prize those U-Steps were thats installed on it were until I came here and read about them. ;) Bonus!
