Smile new owner and love it,when i get to drive it

I'm sure ever body has been asked? But, I would like to know the real scoop! What will really help out the MPG or lack of miles per gallon? Our hummer is a 2003 Black beauty(LUX ED.) has cold air intake, Corsa Exhaust cat back. still only makes about 11.5 to 12 mpg around town.
Is there a chip or add on that will improve this? I have read about Two Hummer Dealers in the Detroit Area that have been offering a dealer add on option for a Vortec Valve(?), I have not been able to find any one who
can give me a answer, if it works or what, if any thing can be done to improve gas mileage. With the price of gas these days i dont like funding the big oil, windfall tax fund any more than anyone else does. If any one knows please respond. Thanks for you time, and look forward to driviing the H-2, When i can get it away form the wife.

Hey #2, congrats and welcome to the forum! I really didn't see much change in mpg when I installed a CAI and cat back but, I like the new sound. I did pick up about 1.5-2 mpg when I got the Superchips Cortex with the performance setting. I haven't tried the fuel economy setting because I enjoy the performance I gained!

Nothing out there really works. Like stated above 11-13 mpg is average on the H2. Just the way it is.

just make sure your tire pressure is correct. it helps alot but your not gonna get 15mpg from it lol, but hey its better than nothing.
but the honest truth is how you drive it. heres something that explains it better..

AW jeeze. not another MPG thread. Why can't you H2 owners just pick up a Vette for use whenever you're driving alone and don't need the room. About 29 MPG hiway isn't too shabby.
